2011 Chevrolet TrailBlazer review and history
With its trailer-ready design,
TrailBlazer makes towing a breeze. Then there's
all that power. When properly equipped, a
2WD TrailBlazer can tow more than a six-cylinder
Ford Explorer or Jeep Grand Cherokee. The
all-new 2011 Vortec 4200 six-cylinder engine,
standard in all 2011 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
models, delivers more standard horsepower
than any six-or eight- cylinder engine in
its class,(1) making the 2011 TrailBlazer
the most powerful midsize SUV in its class(1)
The Vortec 4200 also produces more torque
than the standard six-cylinder engines in
Ford Explorer or Jeep Grand Cherokee. Quite
simply, this engine makes a powerful statement.
The 2011 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
is remarkably powerful and well-equipped to
handle just about any adventure. The TrailBlazer
comes in six different models - the TrailBlazer
LS, TrailBlazer LT, TrailBlazer LTZ, TrailBlazer
North Face Edition, TrailBlazer EXT LT, and
TrailBlazer EXT North Face Edition. The TrailBlazer
LS offers a five-link rear suspension that
helps contribute to a smooth, comfortable
ride, and more interior room and greater overall
cargo room than Jeep Grand Cherokee. The TrailBlazer
LT boasts available Premium Leather seating
surfaces, room for five and the security of
available OnStar. The TrailBlazer LTZ features
standard Premium Leather seating surfaces
with two-position driver memory, heated front
bucket seats, and electronic climate control
with dual- zone capability. Built for rugged,
real use, the TrailBlazer North Face Edition
boasts an exclusive two-tone exterior and
an interior that comes with two Base Camp
duffel bags, a down-insulated Nuptse blanket,
and more.
The 2011 TrailBlazer generates
270 hp at 6000 rpm and 275 lb.-ft. of torque
at 3600 rpm. Translation: The powerful Vortec
4200 engine delivers a broad torque curve
through the majority of the engine's speed
range, which is helpful when hauling big or
heavy loads. In fact, 90 percent of peak torque
is available from 1600 rpm to 5600 rpm. In
fact, 90 percent of the torque is available
from 1600 rpm to 5600 rpm.
The TrailBlazer EXT LT features
added length and standard 50/50 split-folding
third-row seat that means room inside for
seven adults, and more hip and shoulder room
in the third row seat than in Dodge Durango
and Ford Explorer 4-Door. Finally, the TrailBlazer
EXT North Face Edition combines the best of
everything the TrailBlazer has to offer, including
seven and heated front bucket seats with The
North Face embroidered head restraints, top-of-the-line
amenities, and, of course, the Base Camp duffels
and Nuptse blankets. No matter what your driving
needs, there's a 2011 Chevy TrailBlazer for
you. For updates to our 2011 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
