2011 Chrysler 300M review and history

2011 Chrysler 300M picture

The 2011 Chrysler 300M is designed as an American sports sedan, a contemporary interpretation of the historic "letter cars" Chrysler sold from 1955 to 1965. With firm suspension tuning, a powerful engine, and a leather trimmed-interior, the 300M is designed to deliver the handling and performance benefits associated with European sedans at a fraction of the cost. The 300M actually comes in two different models - the 300M and the 300M Special. This is the best Website for obtaining Chrysler 300M parts, and Chrysler experts turn here to get the most recent Chrysler 300M performance history review online.

While predecessor 300s had Hemi and Wedge V8s, the 2011 Chrysler 300M has its own driving force - a 3.5-liter, aluminum High-Output SOHC 24-valve V6. Standard on the 300M Special, this power plant generates a responsive 255 horsepower at 6,500 rpm, with 258 pound-feet of torque at 3,900 rpm. The 300M features a 3.5-liter, aluminum High-Output SOHC 24-valve V6 that kicks out 250 horsepower at 6,400 rpm, with 250 pound-feet of torque at 3,900 rpm. Standard on both 300M and 300M Special, the AutoStick Driver-Interactive Transaxle Shifter gives you the option to cruise effortlessly; or to clutchlessly control each of the gear changes, up or down. The sophisticated underpinning has a four-wheel, fully independent suspension that is available in three states of tune - standard touring, an optional upgrade for maximum cornering power, and sport-tuned. With features like these, it's no wonder Chrysler 300M performance is second to none.

But the new and improved 2011 2011 Chrysler 300M looks great, too. It's easy to add that something special to your new 300M, just consult our Chrysler 300M parts resource. The low hoodline and angled windshield yield a coefficient drag of 0.313 -- one of the best aerodynamic ratings of any sedan of its type. The car's headlamps, adopting new, high-intensity discharge technology, are 2.5 times brighter than halogen bulbs. The car also boasts external mirrors that contain front supplemental signal repeaters similar to European "Tuner" vehicles. The 2011 300M Special even features separate chrome tipped dual exhaust tips that flow neatly into the ground effects. This attention to detail continues inside the 300M as well. Centered in the dash, 300M features not a clock, but a fine timepiece, reminiscent of handcrafted, Swiss-made watches. Standard leather-trimmed, heated driver and front-passenger seats make cold-weather driving more comfortable. The 60/40 split-folding rear seat-back allows both long items and a passenger to ride in the rear seat. Lastly, the nicely trimmed trunk has 16.8 cubic feet for storage with an additional 11.8 cubic feet of storage with the rear seatback folded down

Safety is an important part of the Chrysler 300M experience, too. The Antilock Brake System (ABS) is equipped with electronic sensors that prevent wheel lock up, offering improved steering control under extreme braking and /or slippery conditions, and each large front disc brake has an air scoop, and a four-piston caliper-vented rotor to help reduce fade and assure stable, safe stops. Finally, the 300M comes standard with a Low-Speed Traction Control system that works in tandem with the antilock brake low speed sensors to detect wheel-slip and apply brake pressure to the spinning wheels exactly as needed so they can regain traction.
